COVID-19 Virus & Remote Vision Therapy at TCFVD

The Center for Vision Development has many options available to continue your vision therapy program at home while our office remains closed due to COVID-19. Please contact our office to discuss which option may be best for you.

1. Virtual Therapy: Our therapists are now offering virtual therapy video sessions. These sessions run 45 minutes in length and involve many of the same procedures used in our in-office sessions, modified by our creative therapists.

2. Vision Builder: This is a computer-based program available to enhance therapy for patients with specific binocular, oculomotor, or visual-perceptual diagnoses. The program is purchased once, programmed by our doctors for your specific needs, and can be used at home on an ongoing basis.

3. VividVision: This is a virtual-reality based program which we use in our office to treat binocular dysfunction, amblyopia, and strabismus. It is available in a home version which works through the OculusRift, HTC Vive, or SamsungGearVR headsets. We offer the headsets and the program for purchase in our office. A subscription to the program is on a monthly basis and includes programming, monitoring, and evaluation from your doctor.

4. Webvisiontherapy.com: this is an online therapy program that we are currently using during remote-VT with our screenshare feature; and it is also available as a 6 month subscription for continued home use. It features binocular, accommodative, oculomotor and visual perceptual activities and is a great complement to a home VT program.

We hope all of our patients are healthy and staying safe during this quarantine. If you have any problems with your vision, our office remains opened with limited hours. All phone calls will be returned within 24 hours. We can see patients in-office for any visual emergency. Please call us with any questions that you may have.
